  • Spectacular setting amongst lakes and forests
  • Easy access by air, road and rail
  • Stunning local towns full of famous Limousin produce

Château de la Cazine is located in the department of Creuse in the least populated area of France, the dramatic Limousin region - known as the French ‘lake district'.

The historic regional capital of Limoges, an hour's drive from the château, shows off all that the region is famous for, particularly its international reputation for porcelain, enamel and stained-glass. Closer to the château (10 minutes by car), La Souterraine is a pretty medieval town with lovely features, historic landmarks and unique local shops, restaurants and cafes.

Just a few minutes' drive from the hotel by car or a delightful stroll away lies the quaint nearby village of Noth, which offers spectacular views of the château hotel from the opposite shores of the largest fishing lake close by.

You can take in the beauty that inspired Claude Monet to paint over 20 masterpieces just a few kilometres north of Château de la Cazine, walk in the tracks of countless pilgrims on the historic Santiago de Compostela, or cycle amongst the beauty of the two regional nature parks. There's so much to enjoy.

With fantastic transport connections from the air, rail and road, the setting of Château de la Cazine is the perfect location for a relaxing stay...you'll quickly fall in love.

adoretraveluk, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom - 24th December 2016 My partner and I have stayed at Chateau de la Cazine twice now and we're always delighted to come back. The mise en bouche, which were fantastic, the choice of butters with our warm bread and all the dishes we beautifully presented, tasted fabulous and using seasonal, local ingredients the dishes were also very typical of this department. The ...

We fortunately chose to eat in the restaurant and were glad of the decision. The English waitress was cheerful and helpful, and whilst the service was not rapid - it was appropriate for the gourmet experience that we enjoyed. The foie gras was some of the best I have eaten, and we were informed that it was ...

As well as an extensive a la carte menu, the hotel operates the traditional set price menue for dinner, for which you receive an appetiser, a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains, a pre-dessert, and then a choice of 2 deserts, for between 35-50 euros.
